Funeral services for Caroline Rodgers, 100, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Caroline Rodgers was born November 22, 1903, in Onida, Tenn., and died Sunday, April 11, 2004, in Chickasha.

Interment will be in Bradley Cemetery, Bradley, Okla., under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Caroline [Stidham] Rodgers
November 22, 1903 ~ April 11, 2004


Funeral service for Caroline Rodgers, 100, if Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Caroline Rodgers was born November 22, 1903, in Onida, Tennessee, the daughter of Nate and Betty [Simpson] Stidham, and died April 11, 2004, in Chickasha.

Mrs. Rodgers moved to Oklahoma in 1914. She lived in the Chickasha area most of her life and worked as a cook at Lawrence's Cafe and Roe's Cafe. She and Willie Rodgers were married in 1920, and he preceded her in death September 20, 1963. She married Elbert Rodgers August 14, 1969, and he preceded her in death April 1986.

Mrs. Rodgers was also preceded in death by one daughter, Fian Cannedy, April 18, 1992; one son, Grady Duane "Dee" Rodgers, December 7, 1996; grandson, Randall Rodgers, March 1, 1987; great granddaughter, Erica Lynn Rodgers.

Survivors include one daughter, Thedra Remington; one son and his wife, Durel "Tots" and Lavern Rodgers; daughter-in-law, Bessie Rodgers; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchldren.

Interment will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Wayne Riley Rodgers Sr

Funeral service for Wayne Riley Rodgers, Sr. age 83 of Marlow, Oklahoma will be held 2:00 pm Monday February 26, 2007 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home of Chickasha.

Wayne Riley Rodgers was born September 11, 1923 in Waurika, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charles Richard and Maggie Lee [Phillips] Rodgers. He died Friday February 23, 2007 in Oklahoma City.

Interment will be in the Bradley Cemetery, Bradley, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Chickasha.

Kenneth R. Rodgers
June 1, 1925 ~ March 7, 2006


Kenneth R. Rodgers of Victoria, TX and formerly of Levelland passed away after a lengthy illness March 7, 2006, Kenneth was born June 1, 1925 in Leon, OK to Edgar Austin and Laura Francis [Dungan] Rodgers. He married LaVena Mae Rutledge November 17, 1946 in Petrolia, TX.

He worked for Verna Drilling Co, for nearly 25 years, he then moved to South Texas in the 80ís continuing to work in the oil field until he retired, Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather, He enjoyed fishing and his grandchildren very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Three brothers Artie Lee, Clarence, and Harold, Two sisters May Bell, and Helen Jo, Two great grand daughters Megan Broll, and Lindsay Musser.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Two sons; Randall [Eddie] Rodgers of Dumas, TX, Gary [Becky] Rodgers of Levelland, TX ,Three daughters; Nancy [Horace] Boyd of Dumas, TX, Debbie [Roy] Brockman of Houston, TX, Sandra [Kurt] Hudgeons of Cuero, TX. Five sisters, Irene Parker of Henderson, TX, Olae Mae Owens of Chowchilla, CA, Iva Faye Weaver of Henderson, TX. Jeanette Hammonds of Brazoria, TX, Jo Ann Hutchinson of Little Rock, AR, Two Brothers Olan Ray Rodgers of Paris, TX, and Jimmy Wade Rodgers of Houston, TX. Kenneth had 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

He was cremated in Victoria, TX. His ashes were buried in Bradley Cemetery, Bradley, Oklahoma

Bessie Marie [Robinson] Rodgers
December 31, 1941 ~ February 15, 1977


Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 77. She was born December 31, 1941 in Tribbey, Oklahoma to Calvin Rufus Robinson and Beulah [Baker] Burton.

Bessie married Grady Rodgers in October 1960 and they lived in Alex from 1971 till 1994 before moving to Chickasha. She worked for Friend School as a cook in the cafeteria for 33 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Grady D. Rodgers on December 7, 1996 and six siblings.

Bessie is survived by her children: Robby Rodgers, Britt Rodgers, Rickey Lynn Rodgers and Dee Ann Rodgers; 10 Grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; Brothers: Jim Robinson, Estes Robinson and Johnny Robinson.
