Eunice Myrl [Archer] Whitehead
April 16, 1923 ~ March 13, 2012


Marlow: Eunice Myrl Whitehead, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Duncan.

Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Bailey Community Church, with Rev. Gene Lancaster and Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Myrl was born Monday, April 16, 1923 to Ira Robert Archer and Rachel [Grant] Archer. Myrl lived in the Bailey area all of her life and attended school in Erin Springs and Bailey. She married Elmo "Jack" Whitehead on October 1, 1938 in Bailey. He preceded her in death in 1972. Myrl was a homemaker and worked as a caregiver. She loved taking care of people. Myrl enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was a member of the Bailey Community Church.

Survivors include, three daughters, Jackie Scott of Marlow, Edna Clemens of Durant, Charlene Condit and husband Doyle of Doyle, nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, two brothers, Nathaniel "Than" Wallace and Albert Wallace and wife Marian both of San Diego, CA, numerous nieces and nephews.

Myrl was preceded in death by her parents, son, Clinton Robert Whitehead, a grandchild, sister, Thelma A. Phillips and Virginia Jenson.
