September 10, 1940 ~ February 7, 2009


Kansas City: Claudine "Toosie" Odessa Manning, 68, Kansas City, MO, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Kansas City.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Toosie was born Tuesday, September 10, 1940 in Marlow, OK, to Elton Whitehead and Blanche Davis Whitehead. She lived in the Marlow and Sayre area for most of her life and later moved to Kansas City in 1998. Toosie graduated from Bray High School.

She married Bobby Green in 1959 then later married James Manning in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1990.

Toosie enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved her grandchildren. Toosie was a member of the Choctaw Nation.

Survivors include, 2 Sons, Jimmy Green and wife Teresa of Kansas City, MO, and Richey Green and wife Misty of Hydro, OK, Daughter, Vicki Green of Kansas City, MO, 6 Grandchildren, Joshua, Aaron, Logan, Paden, Cole, and Wyatt, 2 Brothers, Elton (Jiggs) Whitehead and wife Sue of Marlow, OK, and Roger Whitehead and wife Katrina of Bray , OK, 3 Sisters, Wanda Morrison and husband Phil of Duncan, OK, Linda Peddycoart of Marlow, OK, and Becky Nix and husband Don of Duncan, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Clinton (Slick) Whithead.
