Wayne Thomas Maner
December 7, 1950 ~ January 13, 2015


Wayne Thomas Maner, 64, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home in Lookeba.

Memorial services are planned for a later date.

Wayne was born Thursday, December 7, 1950 in Decatur, Alabama, to Wayne Douglas and Olivene Mary [Willoughby] Maner.

He lived in Alaska and New Mexico before moving to Lookeba seven years ago.

Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He earned the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantry Badge during his service. He was very proud of being a veteran and raised money for their causes.

Wayne worked as a welder for many years. He was very caring and big hearted, especially with animals and his coon dog, 'Butch."

Wayne enjoyed shooting guns, TV documentaries, and cooking barbeque.

He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy and the NRA.

Wayne was of the Baptist faith.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Douglass Ann Maner.
