Donald Lee "Danny" Smith
June 21, 1951 ~ April 26, 2013


Funeral service for Donald "Danny" Lee Smith, 61, of Krum, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.

Donald 'Danny' Lee Smith was born June 21, 1951 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Wesley Lee and Alma Jean [Boggess] Smith. He died April 26, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Danny was born in Chickasha and they moved to Portales, New Mexico in 1956. He returned to the Chickasha area in the early 1970's. He and Debra Jean Shelton were married April 5, 1975 in Pocasset, Oklahoma. They lived in Texas for the last 25 years. Danny worked for the Denton County Road, Bridge and Vehicle Maintenance Department for 16 years. He was administrative foreman for the last couple of years.

He was preceded in death by: Father: Wesley Smith, Sister: Polly Herron.

Survivors include: Wife: Debbie Smith of Justin, Texas 1 daughter: Cassie Wentworth and husband Scott of Justin, Texas, Mother: Alma Smith of Chickasha, 1 brother: Steve Smith and wife Rosetta of Portales, N.M., 1 sister: Reba Carlton and husband Mike of Chickasha , and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Interment will be in the Amber Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
