Funeral services for Susan Lillian Nye, 87, of Amber, Okla., will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2004, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel.

Susan Lillian Nye was born Sept. 9, 1916, and died on Friday, January 23, 2004.

Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Susan Lillian Nye, age 87, of Amber, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2004, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate.

Lillian was born the daughter of Curtis Clark and Julia Ann Corley Clark on September 9, 1916, in Rattan, Oklahoma.

She died January 23, 2004, in Oklahoma City.

Lillian moved to Amber at the age of ten.

She lived in Amber all of her life, except for a few years in the Middleburg area. Lillian married Richard "Vady" Vay Nye on February 16, 1946, in Chickasha.

She was a member of the Amber First Baptist Church, where she worked in Bible School and Sunday School.

She also had many hobbies, such as quilting, embroidery, crochet, putting puzzles together, and playing games with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vady Nye on October 29, 1993, her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include: Son, Albert Nye of Oklahoma City; sister, Thelma King of Del City; sister, Faye Corley of Tuttle; brother-in-law, Alvin Corley of Tuttle; sister-in-laws: Lillie Hannah of Chickasha, Geneva Roach of Houston, TX, Bertha Teague of Roswell, NM; several nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
