Kenneth Doyle "Ken" Morrison
November 2, 1933 ~ December 7, 2020

Private graveside service for Kenneth Doyle Morrison, 87, of Amber, Oklahoma.

Kenneth Doyle Morrison, known as Ken to some, was born on November 2, 1933, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Earnest Ray Morrison and Rachel Mary [Hendrix] Morrison. He passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020.

Kenneth grew up in the Verden and Gracemont area and moved to Amber in 1948. He graduated Amber High School in 1951. After graduating, his daughter Regina was born from the union of his first marriage to Virginia Morrison.

Ken worked for Fleming Foods in Oklahoma City before moving back to Amber, OK, to open his own convenience store. Later on, he and his wife Ola opened the well-known Ken’s Steaks and Ribs.

Kenneth was a character who never met a stranger. Anyone who came to eat at Ken’s knew they would get a good meal and hear a great story from Ken as he bounced from table to table in his white shirt, white pants and red suspenders. He loved people, so it’s no surprise that people who first walked through the doors as customers, left as friends.

His love for the restaurant business was second to the love of his life, his wife Ola. Kenneth and Ola were married in 1983 and have spent almost 40 years making precious memories together. They enjoyed laughing together, hosting family gatherings and travelling.

Kenneth is proceeded in death by his parents, Earnest Ray Morrison and Rachel Mary Morrison.

Kenneth is loved and will be missed by his wife of the home, Ola; daughter, Regina Blaine; step-daughter, Lynne Zepeda; step-son, J.B. Wilson; brother, Galen Morrison and wife, Malinda; Sister, Jerilynn Morrison and spouse, Wayna; grandchildren, Dana James and husband, Ben, Jamie Milsap and husband, Cornell, Ryan Blaine and wife, Rebecca, Levi Blaine and wife, Adrienne, Lydia Chapman and husband, Thomas; great-grandchildren, Ethan James and wife, Sawyer, Stanton James, Quinton Milsap, Adrianne Milsap, Abbey James, and Ryleigh Blaine; great great-grandchildren, Daphne James; brother-in-law, Roy Testerman and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Lora Dills and husband, Ken.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Amber-Pocasset FFA Chapter, PO Box 38, Amber, OK 73004.

Services and interment in Amber Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
