Olive May [Sitton] McClain
October 30, 1887 ~ November 8, 1953


Funeral services for Mrs. Olive McClain, 66, who died Sunday, afternoon in her home, 324 North 4th, after a lengthy illness will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Brown Funeral home chapel.

She came to Grady County in 1909 from Hannah and settled on a farm near Chickasha, moving to town in 1936.

She was married to Jim McClain on Dec. 24, 1902 and was a member of Pentaecostal Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; her mother Mrs. Maggie Sitton of Blanchard; two sons Ray and Billy Bob of Bloomfield, N. M.; five daughters Mrs. Charles Abney of Cyrill Mrs. Archie Royce of El Reno, Mrs. Walter Martin and Mrs. Boone Cloughley of Amber and Mrs. W. C. Holcomb of Chickasha; one brother, Clarence Sitton of blanchard; 17 grand children and five great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Amber Cemetery under direction of Brown Funeral home.
