Kevin Joe Hansens
April 15, 1959 ~ November 7, 2021

Funeral services for Kevin Joe Hansens, 62, of Amber will be held in the Pocasset First Baptist Church.

Kevin Joe Hansens was born April 15, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John Henry Hansens and Sandra Diane [Dodson] Hansens. He died November 7, 2021 at his home in Amber, Oklahoma.

Kevin grew up in Amber and attended Amber School. He helped his dad and grandpa on the farm as a child. From the age of 11, he raced motorcross and as a young man he also showed cattle.

On November 17, 1977, he married the love of his life and best friend Anna Marie Smith in Amber and they shared 44 years together, working on the farm side by side and were inseperable.

Kevin was a farmer and rancher his entire life. Through the years, he loved showing cattle with his daughters and then most recently with his grandson. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he loved to reload with his friends and go hog hunting on the river. He enjoyed teaching others how to shoot a gun and a bow. He was always onery and liked to tease. They broke the mold when they made Kevin; he had a big heart and would help anyone. He was a member of the Amber First Baptist Church and was well known in his community.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Adolf and Ellen Hansens and George and DeLois Dodson.

Survivors include his wife, Ann of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Rebecca and Eric Smith of Amber and Jessica and Jason Malone of Amber; mother Sandra Dodson-Hansens; father and step-mother John and Jeannette Hansens of Kingfisher; grandchildren Hunter and Bailey Malone and Lane Smith of Amber; sister and brother-in-law Kami and Danny Higdon of Kansas.

Interment will be in Amber Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
