Frank C. Cox
August 3, 1875 ~ February 23, 1974


Funeral service for Frank Cox, 98, Amber, will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Cox was born August 3, 1875. He was a farmer-stockman and had been a resident in the Amber community for over 50 years.

He married Mrs. Ettie Ferrell in March 1926. She preceded him in death in July, 1972.

He was a member of the Church of Christ. He died Saturday in Hillcrest Hospital in Oklahoma City and had been in failing health for the past six months.

Survivors include: one son, Jack Cox, of Ashbury, N. J. ; one daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Moore of Amber; three stepsons, Howard Ferrell of Oklahoma City; Chester Ferrell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Frank Ferrell of Chickasha; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Margaret Kennedy of Amber and Mrs. Ruth Ross of Union City; 30 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Amber Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
