Samuel Calvin Bingaman Jr
April 19, 1931 ~ May 31, 2006


Funeral services for Samuel C. Bingaman, Jr., 75, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2006, at the Epworth United Methodist Church, with Kim Domnick officiating.

Samuel Bingaman was born April 19, 1931, in Hope, Arkansas, the son of Samuel Calvin Bingaman, Sr. and Lora [Horn] Bingaman. He died May 31, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sam and Donna [Keef] Bingaman were married on June 11, 1955, in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Last June they celebrated their "50th" Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Sam was employed with the U. S. Department of Agriculture, for the Agriculture Research Service, until his retirement in 1991.

He was a long time resident of Chickasha. He was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Seekers Sunday School Class, Epworth Methodist Men, and Epworth Yet-Set.

Sam was preceded in death by both parents; and daughter, Donna [DeDe] Whitlow.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Bingaman, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Sam C. [Van] and Patricia Bingaman, of Chickasha and Brian and Rhonda Bingaman, of Bethany; daughter, Jacque Hankins and Sam Ortiz, of Chickasha; son-in-law, Mickey Whitlow, of Ninnekah; eight grandchildren: Calvin and Tara Bingaman, Gene and Joli Whitlow, Jamie Hankins, Chris Whitlow, Hayden and Tyler Bingaman, Stephanie Hankins, and Aaron Whitlow; two great grandchildren: Mackenzie and Machaela Whitlow and one soon to be born great grandson; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Dorothy and Leo McMakin, Phyllis and Bill Wilson, and Jo Ann and Hubert Hunter; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Epworth United Methodist Church's New Life Center.

The casket will be open at the funeral home and closed at the services.

Interment will be in the Amber Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
