Charles Clarence Conder
December 06, 1925 ~ March 23, 2018


Charles Clarence Conder, 92, longtime resident of Blanchard, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at the Villagio Memory Care in Oklahoma City, where he resided for the last year and a half after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. The son of Milton Lawrence "M.L." Conder and Rebecca Elizabeth [Wheeler] Conder, he was born December 6, 1925, in Cloudy, Oklahoma.

Charles married Betty Lou Rushing on May 6, 1950, in Hollis, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 2009 after nearly 59 years of marriage.

In his early years, Charles worked in the oilfield. He then went on to have a successful career in homebuilding and construction.

In his spare time, Charles enjoyed gardening, yardwork, going to the swap meet in Chickasha, and building and collecting antique cars.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Conder; four sisters; and five brothers.

Charles is survived by two sons, Randy Conder and wife, Evelyn, of Oklahoma City, and Nathan Conder and wife, Twyla, of Edmond; one daughter, Rose Clark and husband, Richard, of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Ryan Clark of Tulsa, Danny Conder of Oklahoma City, Betty Ann Conder of Oklahoma City, Christopher Conder and wife, Ashley, of Edmond, Nathan Charles Conder of Edmond, and Tiffany Owings and husband, Darren, of Miami; three great granddaughters, Carley, Kathryn, and Lauren; and many other loved ones and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr Todd Swearingen, Physicians Choice Hospice, and especially his hospice caregiver nurse, Emily Gastineau, R.N., for the excellent care and compassion given to Charles in his last days.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Alex Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.

Graveside service for William Alley Lawrence Conder, 78, of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2006 at the Alex Cemetery.

William Alley Lawrence Conder was born March 24, 1928 and died December 19, 2006.

Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
