Bruce Duane Meely
November 19, 1974 ~ December 9, 2018

Funeral service for Bruce Duane Meely, 44, of Pauls Valley will be held Friday, December 14th at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Terry Erwin will officiate. Interment will be at White Bead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Bruce passed away December 9, 2018, in Norman. He was born in Lawton on November 19, 1974 and had lived in Pauls Valley the past 33 years. He was a Pauls Valley High School graduate.

At the age of nine, Bruce came to live with the Manning family. He was mute, but that didn’t stop the love Bruce portrayed to his family through his smile, his eyes and with that sweet laugh.

Bruce was an ace plastic glass twirler. He could twirl two glasses at rapid speed. Another of his quirks was stuffing the glasses with wash clothes. He would get upset when someone would take his glasses from him.

The love of Bruce’s life, his foster mom, Anita Sue Manning Winn, was taken from him in 2006. He was also preceded in death by his foster grandparents, Bessie Franklin, and Harold and Mary Deen Manning.

His surviving family include, his sister, Kristie Cozort, brothers, Ricky and wife, Sandra Manning, Park Brooks and Galen Powell, foster dad, Harold Deen Manning, grandfather, Jim Franklin, and aunt, Susie Manning Allen, who called him by a nickname she gave him, Meely Bug.

A time for visitation with the family will be 6pm until 7 pm on Thursday, December 13th.
