Nona Faye [Claborn] Cottrell
December 26, 1939 ~ September 13, 2014


Nona Faye Cottrell, of Branson, passed away at home with her family at her side on September 13, 2014 in Branson, Missouri at the age of 74 years.

Sis. Cottrell was born December 26, 1939 in Glover, Oklahoma to Ernest and Ella Bell [Cruse] Claborn.

She was raised in Blair, Oklahoma. After graduating high school she and Charles Ray Cottrell were married on February 7, 1959 in Blair, Oklahoma.

Being married to a minister she has made her home mostly in Oklahoma and in the state of Washington with about 30 years living in Branson, Missouri. Her church home was the Trinity Free Holiness Church. She was very active during Church Camp with the youth and teens as a Counselor as well as being active in the Children's Church Ministry.

Surviving family include her husband of over 55 years, Charles Ray Cottrell of the home; three children, Carla Lapoma and her husband, Ted, of Yukon; Clyde Ray "Buck" Cottrell and his wife, Sheila, of Festus, Missouri; and Delfawnia Dean Cottrell of Branson, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, Alan Cates, Amanda Hampton, Jessica Cottrell, Tyler Cottrell, Richie Fisher and Josh Fisher; 6 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Nibblet of Kennewick, Washington; Alene Sanders, and Patsy Claborn, both, of Richland, Washington; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ella Bell Claborn; two brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends in a time of fellowship and visitation on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Bro. Sammy Cottrell, Bro. Bobby Nabors and Bro. Louis Bennett.

Interment will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
