Vester Combs York
January 6, 1927 ~ November 4, 2008


Vester Combs York, 81, of Ada died Tuesday, November 4, at the Ada Retirement Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Paoli Cemetery. Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell is handling arrangements.

Vester was born January 6, 1927, west of Paoli, to Edgar Jackson Combs and Elizabeth "Lizzie" McGuire Combs.

She is survived by daughters Alice York Field and Rosa Lee York; sister-in-law Gracey Combs; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend Gail Sawyer at the Ada Retirement Home.

The family would like to thank the nurses at the Ada Retirement Home and the McCortney Hospice of Ada.
