Fay LeRoy Watters
March 24, 1924 ~ July 2, 2010


Pauls Valley - Fay LeRoy Watters, 86, returned to his heavenly father on July 2, 2010. He was the first of 13 children born to LeRoy and Isabel Watters on March 24, 1924 in Beaver, Utah.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Fay served a mission in Fresno, California and served in the storehouse, temples and in many other church callings.

He married Dean [Phelps] Watters on January 30, 1947 in Fillmore, Utah and together they had 9 children.

He lived the majority of his life in Utah working as a welder for Geneva Steel in Orem, Utah for 38 years. He has lived in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma for the past 3 years.

Mr. Watters was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served his country in WW II in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and Phillipine Liberation.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Richard LeRoy Watters and Faye LaDean Watters Leeds; and his siblings: Keith Watters, Howard Watters, Elaine Van Zine, Leloy Watters and Della Vee Watters.

He is survived by his wife, Dean, and 7 children: Kristean Storey, Karoline Heaps, Mark [Maryanne] Watters, Daniel [Sandi] Watters, Kevin [Carolyn] Watters, Jonathan [Linda] Watters and Jenifer [Mike] Sartori. He is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His surviving siblings include Lillie [Leonard] Mackay, Miles [Cherie] Watters, Joanne [Delroy] Jones, Carlos [Audrey] Watters, Mary [Gordon] Taylor, Martha Davis and Robert Watters.

Per Fay's request, graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Paoli Cemetery in Paoli, Oklahoma. Interment will follow in the Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.

Dean [Phelps] Watters
May 12, 1928 ~ November 22, 2013


What a reunion she must have had beyond the veil with her son, Richard and daughter, Faye LaDean and her husband and parents, siblings, Ward Jr., Lila, Madison.

She was born to Ward Robert and Emma Laura Day Phelps on May 12, 1928 in Fillmore, Utah.

She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in the church.

She married Fay LeRoy Watters on January 30, 1947 and together they had 9 children and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in June of 1952.

She lived most of her life in Utah, some in Northern Nevada and California and has lived in Pauls Valey, Oklahoma for the past 6 years.

She is survived by 7 children: Kristean Storey, Karoline Heaps, Mark (Maryanne) Watters, Daniel (Sandi) Watters, Kevin (Carolyn) Watters, Jonathan (Linda) Watters and Jenifer (Mike) Sartori. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings, Anna Laura Shaw, Tom Phelps, Gordon Phelps, Deloris Watson, Ned Phelps, Dell Phelps.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2103 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pauls Valley, Oklahomat 10 AM.

Interment will be in the Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
