Wilmas Raymond Purser
June 16, 1920 ~ July 12, 2011


Wilmas Raymond Purser of Paoli, Oklahoma was born to Ray and Obedience Mae [Casey] Purser on June 16, 1920 in Stigler, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 12, 2011 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years.

Wilmas grew up and attended school at Stigler, Oklahoma. He then went to work in carpentry and farming. He also worked in the oil field as a roughneck.

In 1952, Wilmas made his home west of Pauls Valley and later moved to Paoli, Oklahoma.

In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, hogs, and cattle. He had a very soft heart for animals.

Mr. Purser is survived by: Son: Jerry Purser and his wife Kay of Elmore City, Oklahoma 2 grandchildren: Danny Purser and Cathey Kelley 2 great-granddaughters: Maegan Kelley and Casey Kelley Mr. Purser was preceded in death by: His wife: Marguerita Jo Purser 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitations:
12:00PM to 4:30PM on Wednesday, July 13th, 2011 at Wooster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pauls Valley.

9:00AM to 7:00PM on Thursday, July 14th, 2011 at Wooster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pauls Valley.

Services:
10:00AM at Wooster Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 15th, 2011.

Marguerita Jo [Gentry] Purser
April 4, 1931 ~ December 21, 2008


Marguerita Jo Purser, of Paoli, was born April 4, 1931 in Wayne, Oklahoma to James and Laura [Stephens] Gentry. She passed away December 21, 2008 at Paoli, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years.

Jo worked many years as a Waitress at Christine's Diner in Paoli. Later she worked for a time at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Pauls Valley.

She had attended the Baptist Church and has made the Paoli area her home all of her life.

Jo was a very loving, kind and sweet mother and always had a 'hug' for everyone she met. She greatly enjoyed and loved her farm animals, as well.

Surviving family include her husband, W. R. Purser of the home; 3 daughters, Donna Bonar of Edmond; Darlene Dansby and her husband, Harold, of McAlester; and Susan Norman of Purcell; 10 grandchildren, Cheri, Jeri, Eddie, Joseph, Keri, Jeff, Ricky, Tommy and Savanna; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 step-son, Jerry Purser and his wife, Kay, of Elmore City; and 1 brother, James Gentry of Canadian, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Bruce Ford.

Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
