John W. Nabors
October 19, 1948 ~ November 30, 2009


John W. Nabors, of Pauls Valley, was born October 19, 1948 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Elmer W. "Ted" and Jo June [Webster] Nabors.

He passed away November 30, 2009 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years.

John Nabors and Janet Bray were married in Stonewall, Oklahoma on August 31, 1984.

He worked for a time in the oil fields and later came to work for the Rural Water District #1 as District Operator for many years.

He was a member of River of Life Church in Ada, Oklahoma and a member of the Valley Lodge # 6 Masonic Lodge in Pauls Valley as well as a Shriner.

The Pauls Valley area has been his home all of his life.

John was preceded in death by his father, Elmer W. "Ted" Nabors; brother Sam Nabors.

Surviving family include his wife, Janet, of the home; daughter, Tina Taylor, of Mississippi; his mother, Jo June Nabors; granddaughters, Alysa Taylor and Anna Taylor; a brother, Ted Nabors and his wife Connie and a sister-in-law, Vicki Nabors, all of Pauls Valley; as well as a niece, and a number of nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Paoli Cemetery officiated by Rev. Charles Dial.

Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery. Interment and professional services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Jo June [Webster] Nabors
Juner 29, 1927 ~ January 11, 2012


Jo June Webster Nabors of Pauls Valley was born June 29, 1927 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to John Samuel Webster and Bessie Lee Harris Webster. She passed away January 11, 2012 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.

Jo June graduated from Pauls Valley High School. She was a secretary for over 19 years for the Pauls Valley Veterinary Clinic until retiring in 1993. She was a member of the F.C.E. club and the Walker Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She loved family get togethers for dinners and Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, John and Sam Nabors; 1 brother, Robert Webster; and 6 sisters: Mildred Garrison, Ella Cox, Jalie Ann Pair, Mary Ellison, Sammie Lawson and Eva Hanes.

Surviving family include her son and daughter-in-law, Teddy Joe and Connie Nabors of Pauls Valley; daughters-in-law, Vickie Nabors of Pauls Valley and Janet Nabors of Ada; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, January 13, 2012 at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Mike Muse. Interment was at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
