Carolyn Sue [Wallace] Mitchell
July 15, 1941 ~ August 28, 2004


Carolyn Sue Wallace "Cookie" Mitchell, of Pauls Valley was born July 15, 1941 in Reedsville, Ohio to Lee and Mary Emma [Black] Wallace.

She passed away August 28, 2004 at her home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years.

She was married to Larry Mitchell in Gainesville, Texas in February, 1984.

"Cookie" was a Hairdresser by profession, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She grew up in the Mid-Ohio Valley and moved to make Pauls Valley her home in 1979.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Todd Ruth as well as 7 sisters and 1 brother, Beulah Coppin, Bob Wallace, Dora Riggs, Gertrude Walton, Nina Mixer, Katherine Hash, Mary Wallace and Bonita Wallace.

Surviving family include her husband, Larry of the home; 3 children, Tammy Hicks of Swayzee, Indiana, James Ruth and Angie Pearson both of Pauls Valley; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Barrows, Kristi Burk, Brian Pearson, Natasha Ruth, Justin Ruth, Ashley Ruth, Brandy Shiflett and Ted Hicks; 8 great-grandchildren, Nacodie Barrows, Naythan O'Neal, Brianna Baxter, Jayden Baxter, Abby Shiflett, Emma Shiflett, Cody Pearson and Brenna Barrows; two brothers, Lee and Bill Wallace of Belpre, Ohio and one sister, Pat Dunfey of Little Hacking, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at 10:00 am at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Charles Ledbetter.

Burial will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
