Mrs. Janie Gibbs

Mrs. Janie Gibbs, one of Paoli's most beloved citizens, was born November 15, 1864, in Illinois and departed this life on February 23, 1939, at 9:30 a.m. at the age of 74 years.

Aunt Janie, as she was affectionately known to her many friends, was married to Mr. J. W. Gibbs on December 20, 1885 , at Sunset, Texas, in Wise County. To this union were born two children, Mr. J. A. Gibbs, a son, and Mrs. T. C. Palmer, daughter.

Mrs. Palmer passed away 19 years ago, leaving four daughters who were reared and educated by Aunt Janie. All are married now. Besides the son and four granddaughters, she also is survived by seven other grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Her many friends also mourn her going as she had been in the Paoli community for many years
