January 18, 2011 Claude Douglas Cross Jr July 29, 1957 ~ January 18, 2011 Claude Douglas Cross Jr. of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Claude Douglas and Anna Mae [Long] Cross on July 29, 1957 in Truckee, California and passed from this life on January 18, 2011 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years. Doug grew up in California and was a Northern California State Wrestling Champion in highschool and a straight A student. He moved to Ada, Oklahoma in 1978 and to Pauls Valley, Oklahoma in 1981. Doug worked for SORC in Pauls Valley where he retired after 20 years. He then acquired his CDL license and resumed his career as a truck driver. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, knitting, crossstitching, fishing and woodworking. The highlights of his life were marrying Lynn, the birth of his children and accepting Christ as his savior. Doug never let any obstacle get in his way. Mr. Cross is survived by: Wife: Lynn Cross of the home 2 Sons: Shawn Townsend & fiancee' Misty Bradley of Paoli, Oklahoma and Scott Townsend of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma 3 Daughters: Justina Reaves and husband Jared of Wayne, Oklahoma, Krissi Brakefield and husband Ben of Wayne, Oklahoma and Missi Lynn and husband Tim of Wayne, Oklahoma 4 Brothers: Jerry Benner of Oregon, Robert Cross and wife Janit of Wayne, Oklahoma, Phillip "Buzz" Cross and wife Bonnie of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Don Cross and wife Tammy of Wayne, Oklahoma 5 Sisters: Yvonne Deyo of Iowa, Yvette Cross of Iowa, Phyllis Dobbins of California, Suize Love and husband Danny of Ada, Oklahoma and Donna Posey of Dixon, Tennesee 5 Grandchildren: Kristina Townsend, Marissa Townsend, Addie Mae Townsend, Remington Reaves and Kimber Reaves Numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Cross was preceded in death by: Parents: Claude Douglas and Anna Mae Cross and an infant brother Funeral services for Mr. Cross are scheduled for Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Pastor Jimmy Dehart officiating.
