Edith Augusta [Grigsby] Hatch Cregger
December 20, 1924 ~ March 16, 1998


Mrs. Cregger, age 73, died at her residence at 2021 N. U.S. 81. Services were held at Beaty Baptist Church in Pauls Valley with the Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cregger was the daughter of Louis P. and Nellie [Price] Grigsby.

She married Milford W. "Buddy" Hatch, who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1970 and later married A. John Cregger.

A homemaker, she was a former resident of Pauls Valley for 25 years and a member of Beaty Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, John Richard and Diana Hatch, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Linda Dianne Devine, Arlington, Texas; 2 brothers, Bill and Fielding Grigsby Sr., both of Duncan; 3 sisters, Irene Prescott and Lena Pruett, both of Carlsbad, N.M., and Mona Coursey of Seattle, Wash.; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Louis P., Jr., Eugene and John G.; a sister, Bernice Grigsby; and her stepmother, Esther Belows Grigsby.

Bearers: David Griffith, Allyn Harrell, John, Doug, Sr. and Doug Hayes, Jr., and Charles Grigsby.

Honorary bearers: Don Sterling, Tony and Fielding Grigsby Jr., and Bob Dulin.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chisholm Trail Hospice.
