Geneva [Wigley] Brooks
April 1, 1928 ~ July 14, 2010


Geneva Brooks, 82, of Edmond, Oklahoma, was born April 1, 1928 in Paoli, Oklahoma in the home to L.P. and Mary O. Wigley.

She graduated from Paoli High School where she was the Salutatorian.

She lived in Pauls Valley until moving to Edmond in 1974.

Geneva was a longtime Banker in Edmond having worked at First National Bank of Edmond and in 1997 she moved to Citizens Bank of Edmond where she was still working.

Geneva's family was her passion and her hobby

She passed away on July 14, 2010 at her home.

Geneva is preceded in death by her husband, R.F. "Gabby" Brooks, her parents, her brothers, R.C. , J.T., Buster, Big, Ted and Bug Wigley. sisters, Jeanette Keener, Ethel Whitfield. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Bob and Jan Brooks of Nashville, Tenn., and Bill Brooks of Edmond; daughter- in-law, Sara Russell of Edmond; grandsons and wives, Chris and Kim Brooks of Edmond, Trevor and Lauren Brooks of Edmond; granddaughter, Jennifer Arab of New York; great grandchildren, Taylor and Zane; dozens of friends of her family and extended family that affectionately called her Grandma.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Citizens Caring for Children. Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 17, 2010 at Matthews Funeral Home with interment at Paoli Cemetery, Paoli, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home- Edmond.
