Evelyn [Jarrel] Andros
October 19, 1912 ~ August 24, 2006


Evelyn Andros, of Victoria, Texas, was born October 19, 1912 in Paoli, Oklahoma to Blucher and Mahalia [Claxton] Jarrel.

She is a Paoli High School graduate and furthered her education by earning her degree in Cosmetology.

Evelyn worked in Oklahoma City and there she met George P. Andros. They were married December 9, 1944 in Haileyville, Oklahoma while he was serving in World War II.

After the war, Evelyn and her husband operated a wholesale fireworks business in Missouri and later in Victoria, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2002 while in Victoria, Texas. Evelyn passed away, also, in Victoria, Texas, on August 24, 2006, at the age of 93 years.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Bessie Shelton, Pauline Emory and an infant sister, Annabell Jarrel; 2 brothers, Fred O. Jarrel and Robert E. Jarrel and two half-sisters, Agnes M. Corbett and Mary E. Riley.

Surviving family include her brother and his wife, Roy and Mary Jarrel and sister-in-law, Loreen Jarrel, all of Pauls Valley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, August 28, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Paoli Cemetery, officiated by Fred Butler. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Notes of Remembrance and/or Condolences may be sent to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
