Owen Ray Lack
January 7, 1938 ~ July 15, 2019

Funeral services for Owen Ray Lack will be 10:00am Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Enid Maine Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Tom Pullin officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00pm in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood, OK. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Owen was born January 7, 1938, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Owen T. and Vera B. [Courtney] Lack and passed away July 15, 2019 in his home in Ringwood surrounded by his loving family.

In 1955, Owen enlisted in the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge in 1963. On September 18, 1962, he married his childhood sweetheart, Ruth Ivey in Enid. Throughout the years, they lived many different places but work brought them back to Enid in 1987.

Owen was a lifelong learner, reading a variety of books but most appreciated history. He taught himself to cook later in life while being Ruth's caretaker after she became ill. Owen enjoyed gardening, fishing and shooting guns with his family. He had a great sense of humor, always the life of the party.

"PA" to his grandchildren, Owen loved being with his family. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Owen will be missed dearly by all his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers and three sisters.

Owen is survived by his four children, Sherrie Noble and husband, Doug; Robert Conaway and wife, Marie; Jimmy Ray Lack and wife, Michelle; Ranita Jordahl and husband, David; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Zebert; Clara Johnson and Loretta Boney.

Memorial donations can be given through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home to Wounded Warrior Project.
