Doris Lavon [Norvell] Dockray
August 19, 1937 ~ April 29, 2017


Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10am at the Del City Church of Christ for Doris Lavon Dockray who passed away April 29, 2017 in Del City at the age of 79. She was a resident of Moore.

Lavon was born on August 19, 1937 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Riley and Naomi Norvell.

She graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1955.

Lavon Married Clyde Dockray on September 6, 1957.

She worked as an Accounts Clerk for Lear Siegler in Del City and Oklahoma City for many years. Lavon enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening and golf. She also enjoyed painting, crocheting and making homemade candy, especially her amazing peanut butter cups and fudge.

Lavon was also a long time member of the Del City Church of Christ and Carriage Club.

She is survived by her sons Rex Dockray and his wife Marcia of Oklahoma City and Larry Dockray and his wife Janet of Yukon, two grandchildren Riley Dockray and his wife Michelle of Tulsa and Kelsey Dockray of Denver, Colorado; two sisters Earleen Brister of Crowely, TX and Elaine Bedford of Keller, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Dockray in 2013. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Ford Funeral Service from 9am to 8pm.
