Wtnnewood, Oklahoma March 2024 March 10, 1951 ~ March 20, 2024 Diane [Smith] Washington was born to Lovie Mae [Wright] Smith on March 10, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the second child. Diane received the Lord Jesus Christ and joined the Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church in the Big Woods of Wynnewood. Diane attended Wynnewood School District and graduated from Wynnewood High School in 1968. After High School Diane worked with one of her close cousins at Carl's Café, where she learned to refine her cooking skills. At one time she owned a restaurant and developed the famous name "Lady Di." Diane is preceded in death by her mother, Maternal grandmother, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her children, five sisters ans four brothers. In addition she is survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews who will always cherish their memories of her. |
