Garvin County, Oklahoma November 2001 June 3, 1920 ~ November 6, 2001 Mrs Rushing was born June 3, 1920 to the late Johnny and Laura [Smith] Rushing. She was united with the church at an early age. In 1936 Florence married Rev Frank Rushing and to this union 3 children were born. She served at Superintendent of Sunday School for 50 years, and was also the President of Mission, Church Clerk and Treasurer. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking for everyone She was a member of the Garvin County Extension Homemaker Group since 1945. She organized the Pleasant Hill Extension Homemaker Group and formed the 4-H group in her home as part of the extension group. In 1977 Florence received a plaque for "Mother of the Year" from the community, a plaque for outstanding 4-H Leader in 1979, and 1980 she was named Garvin County Homemaker of the year. Mrs Rushing was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one brother and two great grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her home going, her husband, one son, one daughter, one daughter-in-law, one brother, two sisters, 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends |

Wynnewood, Oklahoma October 2012 February 2, 1949 ~ October 4, 2012 Joyce was born to Joe and Lovie Mae Smith on February 2, 1949 in Wynnewood. She passed away on October 4, 2012 in Pauls Valley at the age of 63. Joyce accepted Christ at an early age and was a member lf Mt Olive Baptist Church in Wynnewood. She sang in the choir and was very outspoken. She attended the Wynnewod public schools. Joyce married Billy Norman Rushing and to this union seven xhildren, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren were born. She spent most of her life enjoying her children and grandchildren; that is one thing she really enjoyed was her family. Services for Joyce Rushing, 63, Wynnewood, are 11 am Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Wynnewood. Burial follows at Oak Grove Cemetery. |

DeArman Funeral Home Wynnewood, Oklahoma February 2025 June 26, 1973 ~ February 21, 2025 Norma Joyce Rushing of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born on June 26, 1973 to Joyce Ann [Smith] & Billy Norman Rushing in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2025 in Purcell, Oklahoma. She is preceded in passing by her mother, Joyce Ann [Smith] Rushing and brother Terry Wright. Norma grew up in Wynnewood, graduating from Wynnewood Highschool in 1992. She was a woman of faith, and she testified to her family daily. She had a truly beautiful voice and used it to praise the Lord every chance she got. She loved to spend time with her family and was a caring mother, and she absolutely adored her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Norma is survived by her her father, Bill Rushing, her daughter Empress Rushing of Shreveport, Louisiana, sons Emorej and Emondre Rushing of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Grandchildren; Jayce, Emorej Jr, Emorey, Malik, Malachi, Kash & Ruby. Brothers Lee Ernest, Bill Jr, Fred & Elijah Rushing. Sisters Florence Rushing, Fonchelle Lee, Demeka Rushing, Tristen Rushing & Tonya Wright as well as a host of other family & friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27 from 5-7 PM at the DeArman Funeral Home in Wynnewood. Visitation will continue on Sunday, March 2 from 1-5 PM. Services will be held at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on Monday, March 4 at 11AM with Rev Scott Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove in Wynnewood. |

DeArman Funeral Home Wynnewood, Oklahoma May 2019 July 26, 1981 ~ May 2, 2019 Frank LaRae DeVal Rushing was born July 26, 1981 to Donald Fagan and Florence Victoria Rushing in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Frank departed this life on May 2, 2019 in Tucker, Georgia. Frank was educated in the Fulton County School System and worked as a General Contractor by trade for many years. Frank was preceded in death by his grandmother Joyce Rushing. He leaves to cherish his memories: Parents: Donald Fagan and Florence Victoria Rushing, Grandfather: Bill and [Vera] Rushing, Daughters: Angelica, Alexandria, Gianna, Aubri, and Autumn; Son: Jaylin. Siblings: Chauncey Rushing, Aracio Blake Henderson Rushing, a host of other siblings, and a very special friend Detra Crawl Lindsey. Services will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Wynnewood officiated by Rev Kirk Rushing with interment following at Oak Grove Cemetery. Wynnewood, Oklahoma November 2010 May 16, 1991 ~ November 10, 2010 Bobby Larry Rushing , a resident of Wynnewood, Oklahoma was born May 16, 1991 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Alika Fonchelle Rushing and Bobby Larry Smith Jr. He passed away November 10, 2010 at the age of 19 years 5 months and 24 days. He was a pump and compressor mechanic for Dooling Machinery. He lived in Oregon, Washington, Warner Robbins, Georgia and currently resided in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Wynnewood High School where he was a Savage Baseball, Basketball and Football player. He had also received an academic award in Art as well as being the winner of a writing competition. He was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother - Bobby Smith - 2 Grandmothers - Patricia Smith James and Opal Jean Lee; 2 Great Uncles - Noel Smith and Fred D. Rushing - 4 Great Grandparents - Frank and Florence Rushing, Joe and Lovie M. Smith. Surviving are his Mother and Fathers - Alika Fonchelle and Roy Lee Sr of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Fsther and Wife - Bobby Larry Jr and Yvette Smith - Father Curtis Harris Jr - Daughter - Ns’Kiah Pauline Rushing, a host of aunrts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, classmates and co-workers. |
