Alva Lee [Brown] Turner
May 30, 1932 ~ March 16, 2013


Alva Lee Turner, of Ada, passed away March 16, 2013 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years.

Alva was born May 30, 1932 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Grover C. and Pauline [Holmes] Brown Sr.

Alva Lee Brown was married to Jack Carl Turner, Sr. in Pauls Valley on May 5, 1951.

She has lived most of her life in the Pauls Valley area and the past 18 years in Ada.

She was preceded in death by Her parents, Grover C. Brown Sr. and Pauline Brown; Step Dad, Henry Finis Brown; husband, Jack Carl Turner Sr.; 2 brothers, Grover C. Brown & Eugene Brown; sister Lorine Clark; great grandson, C.J. Gordon.

Surviving family include her 5 children, Jack Carl Turner Jr., of Walker, Louisiana; Barbara Jean Teague of Ada; Delores Diana Jeter of Ada; Harold Eugene Turner of Geronimo; and Shirley Ann Turner of Ada; 2 sisters, Cleo Bray of Lawton; and Virginia Wages of Pauls Valley; 12 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Toby Willoughby. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. We invite you to send a message of condolence and view the family's guestbook at the top of this page.
