Imogene [Prather] Butts Stufflebean
May 8, 1928 ~ March 19, 2019


Imogene Butts Stufflebean, of Sulphur, passed away March 19, 2019 in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years.

Imogene Prather was born May 8, 1928 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Bertha Mae [Jones] Prather and John Thomas Prather. Wynnewood has been her home most of her life. After school she began a career as a Lab and X-Ray Technician working 48 years in that technical field of service to families in the Pauls Valley and Wynnewood area. She was a member of Walker Baptist Church. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren and all their activities.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bertha Prather; her husband of 36 years, Jack Butts in 1983 and her husband, Noble Stufflebean of 12 years in 1997; daughter, Linda Day; 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Her surviving family include her children, Sue Nicewander of Tulsa; and Jacky Butts and wife, Wendie, of Sulphur; one brother, Dean Prather; 9 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at Mount Olivet Cemetery Pavilion. Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
