Louise Stephens was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Hannibal Tanner and Lydia [Williams] Tanner, April 27, 1914. She was called away by her Lord on March 6, 2015 in Pauls Valley.

Louise attended Pauls Valley School and afterwards married James V. Boudreau. With this union, one daughter Lilly Beth was born.

When World War II started, Louise, being a nurse joined the forces and was inducted into the Women's Army Nurses Corp. serving time in the Pacific Islands and later Oakland Army Receiving Hospital, Oakland and San Francisco, California. She received an Honorable Discharge while in Oakland.

Later, Louise met a hometown soldier, Master Sgt. Harold Stephens from Lindsay, Oklahoma and they were married in Reno, Nevada while he was still in the Air Force. Together they served the remaining of Harold's time in the service on Honolulu, Clark AFB, the Philippine Islands, stateside at Ft. Walton, Florida and Tinker SFB. Louise continued nursing even after her service at Tinker AFB and after moving back to Pauls Valley in 1964. She took care of her sisters until their death. Her family always came first ahead of her needs.

Louise was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church and the U. M. W.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, Louis Tanner; two sister, Bertie Carter and Lillie Looney.

Surviving family include her daughter, Lily Beth Runnels of Pauls Valley; grandsons, Thomas Runnels, Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Orlando, Florida; Ral Runnels of Pauls Valley; two great grandchildren, Michael Runnels and Sallie (Runnels) Sacker and her husband, Jon of Moore; as well as her beloved cat, Mollie.

Our thanks and gratitude to the Life Spring Hospice and the ladies attending her; Hollye, Barbara, Ramona and Marsha.
