September 19, 1924 ~ December 24, 2018


C L Norman, of Farmington, Arkansas, formerly of Pauls Valley, passed away December 24, 2018 in Farmington, Arkansas at the age of 94 years.

C L was born September 19, 1924 in Asher, Oklahoma to Betty [Overturf] and Sherman B. Norman. He was raised in the Pauls Valley. He served in the United States Navy in the Seabees and earned the rank of Seaman 1st Class and is a Veteran of World War II. He later became Self-employed with a number of Services Stations from Hurst to El Paso, Texas including a Deep Rock Service Station in Pauls Valley. He was a member of Church of Christ. He made his home in Texas for many years. Later he lived in Yukon and then moved to Arkansas to be close to family there.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman B. and Betty Norman; his wives, Wanda Gene Norman and Wanda Jean Norman; two grandsons, Cody Norman and Curtis Newton; one granddaughter, Melissa Norman; two daughters, Carolyn Vacchio and Janice Newton; one brother, Alvi Norman; and four sisters, Birdie Crawford, Ovie Cleveland, Elen Vasquez and Glenda Faye Lewey.

His surviving family include: his two sons, Ronnie Norman and wife, Jackie, of Fort Worth, Texas; and Charles Larry Norman and wife, Dawn, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a son in law, Galen Newton, of Fort Worth, Texas; ten grandchildren, Tori, Amy, Clint, Ryan, Christen, Amanda, Jason, Christopher, Christy and Teresa; numerous great grandchildren; one sister, Rosetta Logan of Odessa, Texas; one brother, Alfred Norman and wife, Cleta, of Woodward; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A time for viewing has been requested from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Pauls Valley Church of Christ. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
