Betty Jo [Alexander] Looney
June 23, 1936 ~ June 14, 2015

Betty Jo Looney, of Leander, passed away June 14, 2015 in Austin, Texas at the age of 78 years.

Betty was born June 23, 1936 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Thurman and Estelle [Jones] Alexander.

She and Thomas F. "Tom" Looney were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and had been married 49 years and 8 months at his passing on July 12, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Loye Looney & Baxter Looney

Surviving family include her children, Randy Looney and his wife, Rita, of Red Oak; Richard Looney and his wife, Nancy, of Marlow; and Regina Cox of Cedar Park, Texas; six grandchildren, Scott Looney, Ashley Looney, Cody Looney, Tracy Looney, Rachel Cox and Brian Cox; three great-grandchildren Hannah Looney, Haegan Looney, and Jaxon Looney; three sisters, Carole Richard Perry of Wynnewood; Ann Woods of DeQueen, Arkansas; and Barbara Robertson also of Wynnewood; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Keith Walls.

A private interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
