Graveside services for Colleta Pearl Hayes, 92, of Stratford will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley.

Services are under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home in Stratford.

Ms. Hayes passed away Monday, April 3, 2006.

Myrtle Katherine [Harmon] Hayes
November 8, 1921 ~ May 4, 2008


Myrtle Katherine Hayes, age 87 of Lindsay died Tuesday, May 4, 2008 at Pauls Valley General Hospital.

She was born November 8, 1921 in Stratford, Oklahoma, the third of 14 children. Her parents were Walter Andrew Harmon and Dolly Mae Womack Harmon.

She grew up on a farm and later married Ralph Taylor Hayes on December 28, 1938 in Maysville, Oklahoma. Together they raised two children.

Ralph worked in construction and they moved to various locations following his construction jobs.

In 1999, she moved from Blanket, Texas to the Oklahoma City area. Last month Myrtle moved to the Lindsay Manor to be close to her brothers and sisters.

Throughout the years, Myrtle was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. She especially liked making tacos, cobblers and cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner.

She enjoyed the outdoors where she liked fishing and growing vegetables in her garden.

Spending time with her family was important to her. She was of the Assembly of God faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Dolly Harmon; her husband Ralph Hayes; brother and sisters May, Ted, Homer, Sis, Buddy, Lloyd Ray and Betty Jane and infants Harold Gene and infant Nadine.

She is survived by teo daughters daughters, Betty Ruth Ballard and husband Eddie of Dibble and Mary Lou George of Lindsay; two brothers, Curly Harmon and wife Evelyn of Maysville; Junior Harmon and wife Dorothy of Lindsay; two sisters, Billie Weathers of Anadarko and Julie Don Rinehart of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Maysville Assembly of God Church with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley. Pallbearers were Darrell Cumpton, Donnie Minick, Randall Minick, Randy McGrew, Scott Minick, Kim King, David McGrew, and Rodney Horn. Arrangements were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcel.

Joann Carol [Paulsen] Hayes
January 5, 1942 ~ July 4, 2020


Joann Carol Hayes joined the love of her life in Heaven on July 4, 2020. Joann Carol Paulsen was born January 5, 1942, in Seminole, OK to Raymond John Sr and Thelma Gene Paulsen.

She graduated from Pauls Valley High School and attended one year at East Central University.

She married Jimmy Clayton Hayes in Pauls Valley, OK on July 14, 1961. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She loved dancing as a child and teenager, ballet, and tap where her specialty.

Her smile could warm a heart and light up a room instantly and her love for her family was known by all.

Joann is survived by brothers RJ Pauslen Jr [Byrlene] Odessa, TX and David Paulsen [Betty] Heber Springs, TX, three daughters; Leann Hayes, Konawa, Ok, Karol Burlile [Casey] Emmett, ID, Karri Revels [Jim] Ada, OK, one son Jamie Hayes [Amy] Burlington, CO, 14 grandchildren Jason Wall, Konawa, OK, Chris Wall, Burlington, CO, Coty Hayes, Konawa, OK, Blakelee Hayes, Ada, OK, Clayton Hayes, Ada, OK, Justin Hayes [Jessica], Fruitland, ID, Miranda Pulley [Travis], Emmett, ID, Shelby Burlile, Vinita, Ok, SaraBeth Hayes [Justin], Burlington, CO, Johnathan Hayes, Burlington, CO, Nicole Hayes, Burlington, CO, Presleigh Hayes, Ada, OK, Jolee Revels, Ada, OK, Joshua Revels, Ada, OK and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond John Paulsen Sr and Thelma Gene [Sartain] Paulsen, her husband Jimmy Clayton Hayes, and her son Jeffrey Lee Hayes.

The family will be having graveside services on August 15, 2020, at 10:00 am at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, OK, Pastor Randy Durrim officiating.
