Rev David N. Freeman
August 17, 1934 ~ December 8, 2010


David N. Freeman, of Pauls Valley, passed away December 8, 2010 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.

He was born August 17, 1934 in Caddo, Oklahoma to Eddie Vernell Freeman and Elsie Norise Fuller Freeman.

David was married to Mildred L. Dunn in Brownwood, Texas on August 28, 1955.

He has been preaching since he was 14 years of age. Bro. Freeman is a graduate of Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas and the Southwest Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Later he served as the Director of Missions in the Tillman and Arbuckle Associations as well as having served as Recording Secretary for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and had was pastor at various churches in Texas and Oklahoma. Pauls Valley has been his home for the past 20 years and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Philip Aaron Freeman and a great grandson, William Duncan.

Surviving family include his wife of 55 years, Mildred, of the home; children, Vicki Lynne Freeman Combs and her husband, Larry, of Kansas, Oklahoma; and Steven David Freeman of Leesberg, Virginia; one brother, Bobby Wayne Freeman and his wife, Ellen, of Tyler, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Amy Combs Duncan and her husband, Wyatt; Leighton Combs and his wife, Katie; A1C Laramie Combs, USAF and his wife, Hillary; and Allison Combs; 5 great grandchildren, Weston, Ethan and Walker Duncan and James and Lanie Combs with another on the way.
