Wanema Joyce "Nema" [Tanner] Firestone
August 18, 1934 ~ June 5, 2007


Wanema Tanner-Firestone was born August 18, 1934 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Roy A. and Georgia "Rossie" Chapman Tanner. She passed away June 5, 2007 at the age of 72 years.

"Nema" was a retired employee of Grady Memorial Hospital. The highlights of her life included painting, gardening and cooking. However, what "Nema" cherished most was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wanema was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Georgia Tanner; one son, James T. Moore.

Surviving family include her 3 children, Allen Moore, of Chickasha; Brenda Sledge, of Katy, Texas; and Terry Moore, of Conroe, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Notes of Remembrance and/or Condolences may be sent to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
