Cleta M. [Green] Cochran
July 18, 1916 ~ July 19, 2012


Cleta M. Cochran, of Pauls Valley, passed away July 19, 2012 at her home near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years.

Mrs. Cochran was born July 18, 1916 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Tipton T. "Tip" and Dewey Manila (Radden) Green. She grew up in the Pauls Valley area; graduated from Elmore City High School and has made her home in the Beaty/Klondike Community all of her life. She and Ralph E. Cochran were married in Pauls Valley on August 27, 1938 in the Garvin County Courthouse. They were blessed with three children. Cleta was a long time member of the Beaty Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tipton T. "Tip" and Dewey M. Green; her husband, Ralph E. Cochran in 1984; and a sister, Ireta Ward.

Surviving family include her children, Mary E. James of Paoli; Marlene Lovett and her husband, Ron, of Norman; and Jerry Keith Cochran and his wife, Patsy, of Orlando, Florida; one sister and her husband, Jimmie Sue and Richard Crull, of Pauls Valley; grandchildren, Kevin James, Kelley Jarman, Scott Lovett, Lisa Burwell, Angela O'Neil, Rebecca Morris, Josh Cochran; her great grandchildren, Cara Burwell, Allyson Burwell, Jamie Edminsten, Jared White, Jayson Jarman, Heather Devine, Alexander Jones, Kasey O'Neil, Joseph O'Neil, Jacob Schmoll, Rachael Schmoll, Hannah Schmoll, Jonathan Cochran, Andrew Cochran and Leah Cochran; one great great granddaughter, Aubrie White; as well as her faithful pet and friend, "Sarge".

Pallbearers are to be Jeff Jarman, Jared White, Kevin James, Steve Crull, Brent Crull, and Scott Lovett. Honorary Pallbearers are to be Shon Richardson and Johnny Richardson.

The family wished to send special thanks to each one of the Home Health Care workers who include Jo Ann Hart, Winona Angelo, Jan Searcy and Holly Pieka; and Valley Hospice nurse Donna Sharp; and to Kymberlee Coppin, who personally took such tender and loving care of Mrs. Cochran during her illness.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 am at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Pastor Stephen Reid.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
