Jackie [Ashley] Casto
May 21, 1939~ March 29, 2019

Jackie Casto, lately of Glenwood Springs, Colorado passed away March 29, 2019 in Glenwood Springs at the age of 79 years.

Jackie was born May 21, 1939 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Carolyn (Phipps) Ashley and Clyde Ashley. She attended Lee Grade School in Pauls Valley and after graduating from Pauls Valley High School she married Charles Edward Casto in 1957.

Following a career as an Executive Secretary at Kansas City Power and Light, Jackie became a prolific romance writer in the 1980's and 1990's publishing more than 33 novels with Candlelight Ecstasy, Harlequin Romance and other publishers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Casto, her father, Clyde Vernon Ashley; her mother, Carolyn Ashley; two brothers, Vernon Ashley and Tip Ashley and two sisters, Juanita Foote and June Hardy.

Her surviving family include her two daughters, Cassandra Kim Johnson and Antha Karen Anderson; four grandchildren, Rachel Casto Funez, Jennifer Ashley Callison, Charles Michael Belluomo, and Christina Nicole Saghbini; and two great granddaughters, Olivia Linnae Funez, and Evelyn Rae Funez.

A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, April 5th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Pavilion. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
