Marylan Amy [Lewis] Brewer
June 28, 1924 ~ October 9, 2014

Marylan Amy Brewer was born Marylan Amy Lewis on the 28th day of June in 1924 in Yancey County, North Carolina to Anna Belle Lewis.

At the age of seven she moved to a new family in Niagara Falls, New York. She graduated high school and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1944.

She later met and married Marshall Russ Brewer on the 24th day of February of 1945 in Oakland, California. They settled in California after World War II had ended. They were blessed with six children, James, Russ, Sandy, David, Linda and Margaret. Of these she was preceded in death by two children, Sandy and Russ as well as her husband, Marshall Russ Brewer. These two children and her husband greeted her this past Thursday, October 9 in the year of our Lord, 2014. She passed in her sleep.

Marylan worked outside of her home to help provide for her growing family, and she loved every minute of it. She was always making lifelong friends in her working career. In 1992 Marshall and Marylan retired to Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Marshall passed away on August 17, 2001. She will now be at his side.

She will be lovingly celebrated and missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home officiated by Rev. M. E. Sellers.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
