Minnie Lee [Jones] Wood

ADA - Graveside services for Minnie Lee [Jones] Wood, 97, Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at McGee Cemetery. Rev. Earl Hood will officiate.

Mrs. Wood died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at an Ada nursing center. She was born Feb. 13, 1916, to David Wilburn and Sarah Melinda Mahan Jones near Stratford.

She attended Yeager Schools and retired as a school custodian.

She and James Mitchell Wood were married Sept. 29, 1933. He died Sept. 29, 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Carol Sinclair and husband Randy, Ada; a son, Eldis "Pud" Wood and his wife Letha, Ada; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Paul Wilford Wood and Connie Wood.
