Lois Virginia "Pete" White, 98 passed peacefuly from this earthly existence on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

Preceded in death by her loving husband , Richard Carrel White; sisters Jane Houston, Minnie Dulworth, Evelyn Jones and Inez Aylor; brothers Edward, Robert S. and John Craig; daughter-in-law Gloria Miller White; and parents Robert S. and Virginia A. Craig.

Pete's legacy lives on through her son; Dr. Gary L. White of Edmond, OK; grandchildren Susan Epley [Bradford]; Kim Way [Bradley]; Dr. Emily White [Dr Samuel Cook]; and Sarah White [fiance'Tucker Irey]; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Alice, Robert, and Andrew; and many nieces and nephews.

Pete lived a happy, long, and active life. She was born on January 3, 1921, in the small rural town of Evening Shade, Arkansas to a loving farm family Robert and Virginia [Wasson] Craig. She was the 3rd youngest in a family of eight children which included four sisters and three brothers. As a young girl her family moved to Stratford, Ok, where she later attended Stratford High School. There she met the love of her life, her beloved Carrel; they married in November 4,1938 and spent sixty-four happy years together.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was visiting with family, friends, and neighbors. She loved to garden. She was a member of the Stratford First Baptist Church, the Corley Demonstration Club and FFA Mother's Club. Pete was well-liked and brought joy and happiness to many. She will be missed by those whose lives she blessed.

The family wants to especially thank the many health care professionals, especially her Willows [Pauls Valley], and Autumn Leaves [Edmond] Assisted Living and Memory Care family, and Alpha Hospice, who assisted her during her final years of life. In lieu of flowers and cards, contributions, especially those of time, may be made to Stratford McGee Cemetery Fund 580-759-2371.

Visitation; will be Friday November 1, 2019 at DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home Stratford, Ok. from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Graveside Services & Interment; 1:00 PM Saturday November 2, 2019 at McGee cemetery. Officiating; Rev. Forrest Weast.
