Harrel Douglas McManus
March 17, 1926 ~ June 24, 2009


ADA — Services for Harrel Douglas McManus, 83, Ada, are 2 p.m. Friday at 32nd Street Church of Christ, Carl Johnson officiating. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery, Stratford. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by Chickasaw Honor Guard.


Mr. McManus died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at a local hospital. He was born March 17, 1926, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Jerry and Maybelle Fowler McManus.


He attended school at Pauls Valley and also at Oklahoma A & M.

He served in the U. S. Army during World WAr II from 1944 – 1946 in the 195th Engineers Co. and received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, and Marksman Award.

Mr. McManus retired as a pharmaceutical salesman for McKesson-Robbins and had also been self-employed as a sign painter.

He was a member of the Galey Church of Christ.

He married Lila Dean Sealey on February 19, 1955, in Gainesville, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Dean, of the home; three daughters, Karen Goodnight, and her husband Stan, Norman; Sherri McManus, Ada; and Kristina McManus, Ada; 11 grandchildren, Kyle Goodnight, Katie Goodnight and Madie Goodnight, all of Norman; Tyler Frazier and Brittney Frazier, both of Ada; Joshua Thompson, Ada; Christian Roller, Ada; Amanda Eddings and her husband Jason, Ada; Elizabeth Boyett, Ada; Nicole Willis and her husband Michael, Ada; and Ashton Ward, Ada; one great grandson, Michael Greenlee, Ada; one sister, Zelma Stephens and her husband Donald Lee, Elmore City; and two brothers, Odie McManus and his wife Wilma, Pauls Valley; and Bill McManus and his wife Shirley, Pauls Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four daughters, Harrelyn Boyett, Cynthia Bermudez, Redena McManus and Kimberly McManus; a grandson, Christopher McManus; and six brothers and sisters.

Bearers are grandsons, Kyle Goodnight, Joshua Thompson, Michael Willis, Tyler Frazier, friend, Eddie Easterling, and nephew, Gerald Sealey. Honorary bearers are Governor Bill Anoatubby, Bill Lance and Brian Campbell.

Lila Dean [Sealey] McManus
July 20, 1938 ~ March 18, 2017


Services for Lila Dean McManus, 78, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Central Church of Christ, Roy Deering will officiate. Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery near Stratford. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. McManus passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. She was born July 20, 1938 near Madill to Luchess and Mary Odelia Brown Sealey.

She attended schools at Kingston and Madill.

She married Harrel D. McManus February 19, 1955. He preceded her in death in 2009.

Mrs. McManus was the Director of Human Resources for the Chickasaw Nation and currently she served as a Legislator for the Chickasaw Nation.

She was a longtime member of the Galey Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Karen Goodnight and her husband Stan, Norman, Sherri McManus, Ada and Kristina McManus, Eldorado, KS; a brother, Leonard Sealey, Lawton; a sister, Virginia Iantria, South Bend, IN; 11 grandchildren, Elizabeth Boyett, Amanda Eddings and her husband Jason, Nicole Willis and her husband Michael, Ashton Ward, Kyle Goodnight, Madie Goodnight, Katie Goodnight, Tyler Frazier and his wife Amber, Brittany Frazier, Joshua Thompson and John Christian Roller; seven great-grandchildren, Mikie, Lila, Cassius, Natalee, Maverick, Slade and Greysen.

Bearers will be Tyler Frazier, Kyle Goodnight, Joshua Thompson, Christian Roller, Michael Greenlee and Gerald Sealey. Honorary bearers will be Governor Bill Anoatubby, Stan Goodnight, Bill Lance, Tom Bolitho, Jay Keel, Toby Perkins and Phillip Perkins.

Sherri Dawn McManus
November 30, 1963 ~ August 4, 2020


Services for Sherri Dawn McManus, 56, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Center Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery, Stratford. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and service.

Ms. McManus passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born November 30, 1963 at Ardmore to Harrel Douglas and Lila Dean Sealey McManus.

Ms. McManus was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Tyler Frazier and wife Amber, Ada; daughter, Brittney Frazier, Ada; her grandchildren, Natalee Frazier, Maverick Frazier, Slade Frazier and Graysen Frazier; two sisters, Karen Goodnight and husband Stan, Norman and Kristina McManus, Ada; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Harrelyn Boyett, Cynthia Bermudez, Redena McManus and Kimberly McManus; and a nephew, Christopher McManus.

Bearers will be Christian Roller, Joshua Thompson, Kyle Goodnight, Michael Willis, Stan Goodnight and Josh Scribner.
