Esther Pearl [Wood] Gray
November 28, 1926 ~ March 23, 2015


MCKINNEY, TX-Services for Esther Pearl Gray, 88, of McKinney, TX, formerly of Ada are 2:00 p.m Wednesday at the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rev. Larry Eastman will officiate. Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery near Stratford.

Mrs. Gray died Monday, March 23, 2015 in McKinney. She was born November 28, 1926 at Stratford to Walter and Hallie Gentry Wood.

She attended McGee grade school and graduated from Stratford High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from East Central University on May 13, 1978.

She married Cleo Finch August, 1944. He died in active service on March 21, 1945 during World War II. She later married Fred Gray on April 13, 1946 in Coalgate. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2008 in Norman. They were married for almost 62 years.

Mrs. Gray was a Registered Nurse in home health care.

She was a member of the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as Choir Director, sang in a women's trio and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Church's Women's Auxiliary and she was an expert seamstress.

Survivors include a daughter, Carma Parker and husband Russ of McKinney, TX; her grandchildren, Brenna Gray, Ada, Britney Pedraza and husband Jason, Conroe, TX, Shane Parker, Grapevine, TX, Diana Gray, Muskogee and Cindy Tibbits and husband Paul, Norman; her great-grandchildren, Madison Woodward, Ada, Dalton Woodward, Ada, Chelsie Forrest and husband Josh, Broken Arrow and their children, Ella, Emma and Ethan, and Chase Gray, Muskogee; three sisters, Rachel Reeves, Louise (Sue) Piland and Ruth Holder; four brothers, Valton Wood, Bob Wood, Charles Wood and Donald Wood; daughters-in-law, Janet Jones and husband Benny and Lois Gray; and many nieces, nephew, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Larry Gray, Garry Gray and David Gray; two sisters, Mignon Priest and Clara Chandler; and brothers, Clinton Wood and Wendell Wood.

Garry DeWayne Gray
July 23, 1947 ~ September 4, 2014


ADA-Services for Garry DeWayne Gray, 67, of Ada, are 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery near Stratford. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family requests friends wear "Thunder Apparel" to the funeral service.

Mr. Gray died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born July 23, 1947 in Ada, Oklahoma to Fred Herman and Pearl [Wood] Gray.

He graduated from Vanoss High School. He graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He was an Accountant for the State Department of Corrections and later retired as the Business Manager for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 12 years.

Survivors include his mother, Pearl Gray of McKinney, TX; a daughter, Brenna Gray of Ada; two grandchildren, Madison Woodward and Dalton Woodward, both of Ada; a sister, Carma Parker and her husband Russ of McKinney, TX; nieces and nephews, Britney Pedraza and husband Jason, Conroe, TX, Shane Parker, Grapevine, TX and Cindy Tibbets and husband Paul, Norman; and his former wife and friend, Janet Jones and husband Benny, Ada.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Herman Gray; and two brothers, Larry Gray and David Gray.

Bearers will be Benny Jones, Jason Pedraza, Ernie Woodward, Shane Parker, Charles Wood and Don Wood.
