Sharon [Mangrum] Blankenship
June 15, 1951 ~ March 21, 2015


Sharon Blankenship, age 63 of Crystal Springs, MS, passed away on March 21, 2015. Sharon Kay [Mangrum] Blankenship was born on June 15, 1951 in Tulsa, OK to Irven and Jannie [McKnight] Mangrum. Sharon grew up in Tulsa and later moved to Denver, CO where she finished high school. In 1969 she attended Southwestern College in Oklahoma City, OK where she met the love of her life, Darrel Blankenship. They were married for over 43 years. Together they had one son, Justin.

Sharon was a homemaker and spent her time taking care of her family and working at the church. She spent over 40 years as the Pastor's wife of Springs of Praise. Sharon loved the Lord and loved people and diligently served both. In the last few months of her life she enjoyed being a mother-in-law to Bri and a Grandmother to Deiken.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Irven and Jannie Mangrum, and one Daughter-in-law Bri Blankenship.

Survivors include: Rev. Darrel Blankenship of the home, Rev. Justin Blankenship of Purcell, OK. One sister, Betty Moss and husband Joe of Casper, WY. Three brothers, Johnny Mangrum of wife Barbara of Lago Vista, TX, Danny Mangrum and wife Karen of Arvada, CO and Mark Mangrum of Arvada, CO, and one Grandson, Deiken.

Funeral Services are scheduled for: Visitation at Springs of Praise in Crystal Springs, MS on Monday from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Service, Tuesday at 11am at Springs of Praise. She will also have a funeral service in Purcell, OK under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home on Thursday at 10am at Landmark Church with burial following at McGee Cemetery in Stratford, OK.
