Melvin Dale Walker
March 28, 1953 ~ September 8, 2016


Dale Walker, of Pauls Valley, passed away September 8, 2016 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years.

Dale was born March 28, 1953 in Clayton, New Mexico to Clarence Ray and Dorothy Beatrice [Dees] Walker.

On July 2, 1976, he and Oleta C. Grogan were married in Campo, Colorado. In Boise City, Oklahoma he worked for Thompson Implement and later worked for 10 years at Ace Equipment. His career as a Mechanic led him to begin his own business, Dale's Tractor and Baler Repair, from which he retired in 2002. The Pauls Valley and Elmore City area has been his home since 1985. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Ray and Dorothy Beatrice Walker; 2 brothers, Leon (Rusty) Walker & Gale Walker; 2 sisters, Sandra Thompson & Shirley Powers.

Surviving family include: his wife of over 40 years, Oleta of the home; three children, Melany Hawkins and her husband, Kevin, of Paoli; Joshua Walker and his wife, Crystal, of Elmore City; and Shalynn Hucks and her husband, Ezra, of Wynnewood; seven grandchildren, Rickydale Morrison, Alexandria Morrison, Tucker Coppin, McKinsey Hawkins, Ella Walker, Courtney Walker, and Jenna Hucks; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces; one brother, Donald Walker and his wife, Alva, of Rosebud, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley officiated by Bro. Bruce Ford. Interment will be at Lewis Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
