James G. Jeffries

James G. F. Jeffries, of Wynnewood, passed away July 23, 2015 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.

James was born March 3, 1943 in Zena, Oklahoma to Gilbert and Francis (Phillips) Jeffries.

He and Donna Bales were married in Wilder, Idaho on November 10, 1962. He worked for various farmers through the years and in 1971 began working for NACA Trucking Company where he retired after 21 years of service.

James was saved on May 8, 1976 in the Free Holiness Church in Wilder, Idaho. The Lord later called him to preach; he loved preaching the Gospel and Holiness Way. He Pastored for twelve years in Wilder, Idaho at the Calvary Holiness Church. The Joy Community has been his home for the past nine years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Francis Jeffries; two sisters, Donna Creason and Lorene Page; two brothers, Frank Jeffries and Utah Jeffries; and a son-in-law, Scott Prince.

Surviving family include his wife, Donna of the home; two children, Edgel Jeffries and his wife, Penny, of Wilder, Idaho; and Kellie Pope and her husband, Russell, of Wynnewood; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; five sisters, JoAnn Kruger of Nampa, Idaho; Jerry Buzzard of Emmett, Idaho; Marriah Hartzell of New Plymouth, Idaho; Nadine Day of Middleton, Idaho; and Virginia Scroggins of Nampa, Idaho.

The family would like to express a special word of appreciation for the loving care given by the staff of Life Spring Hospice.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home at 500 N. Willow in Pauls Valley, OK. 73075.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at Cottrell Mission Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Orville Cottrell. Interment will be at Lewis Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
