Kathie Ellen [Prindle] Knight


Kathie E. Knight, of Elmore City, passed away March 13, 2020 in Elmore City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years.

Katie E. Prindle was born March 7, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Marion Everett and Thelma Geneva [Johnson] Prindle.

She moved to Garvin County in 1970 and moved to make the Elmore City area her home for the past 31 years.

She loved spending her time with her family; thoroughly loved shopping. She also enjoyed gardening and collecting porcelain dolls.

She and Oscar Dail Knight were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on May 21, 1970.

She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Thelma Prindle; her husband, Oscar Dail Knight; one brother, Joe Vaughan; one grandson, Earnest "EJ" Knight and an infant daughter, Dana Lynn Knight.

Surviving family include her five sons, Jimmy Knight and wife, Laurie; Billy Knight; Mark Knight and wife, Bridget; Earnest Knight and wife, Ashley; and Jason Knight; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; two sisters, Kay Lewis, and Judy Barett.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Katie Cemetery officiated by Family and Friends. Interment will be at Katie Cemetery

Earnest Justin "E.J." Knight
August 19, 2004 ~ June 28, 2018


E.J. was born August 19, 2004 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Earnest and Ashley [Shipley] Knight.

Elmore City has been his home all of his life and has just completed 7th grade at Elmore City/Pernell Middle School where he was a member of the band and played the Baritone. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #71 at Elmore City where he reached life rank, and was Senior Patrol Leader for the Troop. E.J. always had a smile on his face, had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.

May your heart be at peace, Turtle, until we see you gain.

He was preceded in death by Grandfather Dail Knight, Grandfather and Grandmother Dale and Patricia Carlson.

His surviving family include his parents, Earnest and Ashley Knight; two brothers, Cooper Knight, and Zackry Knight, all of the home; grandparents, Kathie Knight, of Elmore City and Yvette and Keith Shipley, of Leon, Kansas; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his Scout Family.
