Thelma "Sally" [Anthony] Hudson
August 9, 1930 ~ November 5, 2017


Thelma Nell "Sally" Hudson of Katie, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2017. Her earthly struggle with Alzheimer's is over.

Sally was born to Olion and Altha [Nolan] Anthony on August 9, 1930 in Katie, Oklahoma.

She lived in Katie most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her father Olion Anthony, her mother, Altha Anthony. A brother, Howard Anthony, and a granddaughter, Tobie Cantwell.

In 1946, Sally married the love of her life Ronald L. Hudson. They celebrated their 71st anniversary on October 11, 2017. The couple had six daughters: Sarah, Connie, Ronna, Patricia, Anita, and Robbie.

Sally worked at Valley View Nursing Home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She attended classes at OU and was a licensed Food Supervisor. She worked at the Ritz Restaurant in Elmore city and was known for the best pies ever.

Sally was an avid quilter and made quilts for all her children, grandchildren, and friends. She loved to read and spoiled her grandchildren.

Sally and Ronnie have 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Hudson, six daughters, six son-in-laws, her grandchildren, her sister, Wanda Carpenter, brothers, Dobie, Funny, Jackie, and Roger, many nieces and nephews, 1 brother-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law.

She loved her family and cared and prayed for them daily. She led many to the Lord. Sally served and taught Sunday School at Katie Victory Baptist Church for many years. She loved the people and serving her Lord.

She was an amazing woman. She made the world a better place by her presence and quiet grace.

Her legacy of kindness, hospitality, and creativity is something we can only aspire to. We love you so much. You will be missed.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma with Rev. Johnny Beckham officiating.

Interment will be in the Katie Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. You may send a condolence to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
