Lawrence Eugene Gee
February 19, 1942 ~ September 22, 2020


Marlow: Lawrence Eugene Gee, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 78.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Katie Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Lawrence was born Thursday, February 19, 1942 in Snyder, OK, to Lacy and Minnie Lou [Tyler] Gee.

He lived in the Stephens and Garvin County areas most of his life; graduating from Elmore City High School.

Lawrence married his childhood sweetheart, Shirley Ann Roady in Katie on May 20, 1962; they were married for 56 years before Shirley's passing on March 4, 2019. Lawrence loved taking care of his sweetheart, always making sure that she was cared for as well as making sure that all of her flowers were beautiful.

He was an avid outdoorsman that just enjoyed camping and fishing in Colorado.

Lawrence loved to dance and spend time with his friends.

He was a member of the FFA in High School and a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Marlow.

Survivors include a son, Chris Gee of Marlow, a daughter, Melissa Clayton and husband Lyndon of Glenpool, grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Alexis, McKynzie, Taylor Grace, and Jacob. He is also survived by a sister, Carol McCaskill of Marlow, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his sweetheart, Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters, Betty, Melba, Maudine.

Shirley Ann Roady Gee
September 21, 1944 ~ March 4, 2019


Marlow: Shirley Ann Gee, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 in Marlow, at the age of 74.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Ligon and Rev. Max Pyron officiating.

Burial will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2019 in the Katie Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Shirley was born Thursday, September 21, 1944 in Katie, OK, to Henry and Laura Mae (Rutledge) Roady.

She attended grade school at Katie and went on to graduate from Elmore City High School with the Class of 1962. Shirley married her loving husband, Lawrence Gee in Katie on May 20, 1962 and they were married for 56 wonderful years.

She enjoyed gardening and had one of the prettiest yards around.

Shirley was an amazing cook that enjoyed cooking for everyone which was a great passion to her. She loved to travel and enjoyed camping. Shirley was a member of the Patio Gardening Club, the Joanna Sunday School Class which she named, and the First Baptist Church in Marlow.

Survivors include, her husband, Lawrence Gee of Marlow, a son, Chris Gee of Marlow, a daughter, Melissa Clayton and husband Lyndon of Glenpool, 5 grandchildren, Alex, Austin, McKynzie, Taylor Grace, and Jacob. She was also survived by a brother, John Roady and wife Sally of Saint Charles, MO, a sister, Nadine Lozier and husband Bob of Yale, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Addie Belle Allen of Pauls Valley.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Bill Roady, Thomas Roady, and a sister, Charolette Gilliland.

Pallbearers will be: Pete Boles, John Holland, Ron Cassle, Larry Wortham, Steve Meyer, and Don Moss.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Gee Family Support trust at Legacy Bank in Marlow.
