Maudie, 86, was born on May 9, 1922 in Idabel, Okla., to Walter and Palmarrow Clabe (Burns) Eastwood and and passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at her home.

Maudie has been a lifetime resident of Garvin County.

On July 7, 1940, she married Hamilton Burton "Pete" Christian. Together they made their home in Wynnewood, Okla., where she has worked on the farm and was always taking care of her family.

Maudie liked to pick up pecans, cook and loved to feed everyone including her livestock. She enjoyed her cats and always loved company.

Maudie was preceded in death by her husband: Pete Christian; parents: Walter Salvester and Palmarrow Clabe Eastwood; two sisters; seven brothers; and one son: Markus Clay Christian and one daughter: Donna Kay Bristow.

Services for Mrs. Christian will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008 in the Katie Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Beckham officiating.
